Drives and traction batteries for EVC eVAN electric vans (Citroën Jumper)

Project Description: Production of 20 complete drives and battery packs for the EVC eVAN vans created by the conversion of Citroën Jumper diesel vans. The production of the vans was motivated by a collaboration with the Slovak company GreenWay Operator / Voltia, which requested a design for the electrification of the vans to allow the design to allow the replacement of traction batteries by pallet truck. This resulted in a globally unique and patented system in which 20 vans have been gradually operated since 2012, mainly as forwarding vehicles (Slovak Post, DHL Austria, etc.) in Slovakia and Austria. The energy of the exchangeable battery has gradually stabilized at 60 kWh, the real range using diesel heating is around 200 km/charge. In 2018 the production of further vans was discontinued due to new homologation requirements until further notice.

Scope of delivery: design, selection and construction of electric drive components; design and construction of battery modules and enclosures including selection of appropriate chemistry and lithium cell design; homologation of the final solution; provision of regular service to customers throughout Europe
