Battery cabinet
At first glance, a battery cabinet may seem like a trivial solution, where the only issue is how to store the batteries in the final solution (e.g. an electric bus).
But the opposite is true.
The battery enclosure shall be designed to support maximum life, battery performance and safety of the modules and battery cells.
How do we achieve this?
First of all, our design and development department creates individual solutions tailored to your project.
This process unfolds in several steps:
- by selecting the appropriate type of battery cell (see chapter on research and development in the field of battery cells) are assembled modules (batteries) that contain battery cells, their electrical connection and the BMS control system.
The quality and design of the module assembly is key to the longevity, performance and stability of the cells. - these modules are then inserted into the battery cabinet. This must ensure an optimal environment. It therefore contains peripherals for cooling and heating.
In addition, it also integrates other elements necessary for the independent operation of the battery cabinet: battery wiring, contactors, fuses, etc. - the final construction of the enclosure must comply with demanding homologation tests arising from the Czech and EU legislation - e.g. in the case of traction batteries for road transport, we design battery enclosures in accordance with the demanding ECE 100.02 standard.
To increase your profitability when the battery box is part of a more complex production process, our design and development department will design the box to be as compatible as possible with other parts of the product - thus reducing your production costs.
